Ceist:

57 Mr. McCartan asked the Minister for the Environment if, arising from a recent court case (details supplied) and the comments of the judge in the case, he has any plans to update the law to allow the testimony of the Registrar of the Medical Council as proof of the medical qualifications of a medical practitioner; and if he will make a statement on the matter.

I intend to propose an amendment of the Road Traffic Acts to deal with the issue which arose in this case.
