Jim Higgins

176 Mr. J. Higgins asked the Minister for Agriculture and Food the reason for the delay in paying a cattle headage grant to a person (detail supplied) in County Mayo.

This applicant has already been paid his grants under the 1990 cattle and equines headage and suckler cow premium schemes and his special beef premium grants will be paid shortly.

178 Mr. J. Higgins asked the Minister for Agriculture and Food the reason for the delay in paying compensation for the slaughter of five animals in compliance with disease eradication regulations to a person (details supplied) in County Mayo.

The reactor grants due to the person named have been paid.

182 Mr. Aylward asked the Minister for Agriculture and Food the reason for the delay in having a beef subsidy paid to a person (details supplied) in County Kilkenny.

Ceist:

192 Mr. J. O'Keeffe asked the Minister for Agriculture and Food the reason for the delay in payment of 1990 suckler cow and beef scheme premiums to a person (details supplied) in County Cork; and if he will confirm that immediate arrangements are being made to pay same.

I propose to take Questions Nos. 182 and 192 together.

Payments due to these applicants under the 1990 suckler cow and special beef premium schemes are being processed and will issue shortly.

183 Mr. Creed asked the Minister for Agriculture and Food when grant applications under the headage, suckler cow and beef schemes will be paid to a person (details supplied) in County Cork.

This applicant will be paid the balances due to him under the 1989 and 1990 cattle and equines headage schemes shortly.

He did not apply under any other 1989 or 1990 cattle schemes.
