Ceist:187 Mr. Deasy asked the Minister for Education if she will give details of the schedule for the introduction of the new pupil-teacher ratio of 19:1.
Written Answers. - Pupil Teacher Ratio.
In accordance with the Programme for Economic and Social Progress a pupil teacher ratio of 19:1 is being phased in for all second-level schools over 1991 and 1992, with a ratio of 19.5:1 applying as from September, 1991 and 19:1 as from September 1992.
