Ceist:

153 Mr. Gregory asked the Minister for the Environment if his Department have received an application from the Belvedere Football Club for grant assistance to build a clubhouse; if his attention has been drawn to the exceptional record of this club in sporting activities and youth development for many years with most of the club members coming from disadvantaged areas; and if he will make a statement on the matter.

This project was not included in the list submitted to me by the local authority concerned for consideration under the 1990 amenities/recreational facilities grants scheme. It is open to the sponsors of the project to make an application under this year's scheme.
