Vol. 406 No. 4

Written Answers. - Grant Payments.

Michael Finucane

Ceist:

98 Mr. Finucane asked the Minister for Agriculture and Food when a TB reactor grant will be paid to a person (details supplied) in County Limerick.

The reactor grant due to the person named has been paid.

Austin Deasy

Ceist:

99 Mr. Deasy asked the Minister for Agriculture and Food the reason for the delay in the payment of headage grants for cattle and sheep and suckler cow subsidies to a person (details supplied) in County Waterford; and when such payments will be made.

Payments to this applicant under the 1990 cattle and equines headage, suckler cow premium and sheep headage schemes and the first and second instalments of the 1990 ewe premium scheme have already been made. Payment under the 1990 special beef premium scheme will issue shortly. It is expected that the final instalment of the 1990 ewe premium scheme will be paid in April as soon as the exact amount of that premium is decided by the EC. There was no delay in payment.

Donal Carey

Ceist:

100 Mr. Carey asked the Minister for Agriculture and Food if his Department's inspectors have approved the application for a farm development grant of a person (details supplied) in County Clare; if he will take into account the fact that there is severe hardship in this case with a bridging loan and that the applicant has no cash flow; and if he will outline when the file was passed by the Ennis office.

Following a final inspection on 22 January this grant was certified on 30 January. Payment will be made as soon as possible.
