Ceist:57 Mr. Kenny asked the Minister for Finance the amount of alcohol seized at customs posts for each year since 1985; the amount sold by the Revenue Commissioners thereafter; and if he will make a statement on the matter.

I am informed by the Revenue Commissioners that the quantity of spirits seized at customs posts in the years in question is as follows:

The figures include an element of estimation in so far as seizures of a noncommercial nature from travellers is concerned.
