asked the
Minister for Education
if she will outline the areas in Dublin where the home school liaison scheme has been implemented; and when this scheme will be introduced to schools in the Aughrim Street Parish area of Dublin 7.
I take it that the Deputy is referring to the home/school/community liaison pilot projects scheme which my Department introduced last year. A list showing the areas in Dublin where this scheme operates at present follows. It is proposed to extend the scheme this year and this matter is being examined at present as a matter of urgency. The schools in the Aughrim Street Parish will form part of this examination. I hope to have further information in this regard in the near future.
I assume the Deputy is aware that the schools in question are already participating in the disadvantaged areas scheme and as part of this scheme benefit from a home/school/community liaison grant.
