Ceist:162 Mr. Allen asked the Minister for Health if he will make a statement on a recent study carried out by the Department of Surgery and Pathology at Beaumont Hospital, Dublin 9, which found that almost a quarter of patients who underwent appendectomies in a Dublin teaching hospital were found to have normal appendices; and the steps he proposes to take to ensure that the situation is improved.
