Vol. 408 No. 1

Written Answers. - Cashel (Tipperary) Eye Clinic.

Noel Davern

Ceist:

34 Mr. Davern asked the Minister for Health when persons (details supplied) in County Tipperary will receive an appointment to the Cashel eye clinic; and if there is a delay with appointments, the steps which will be taken to rectify this.

I understand from the South-Eastern Health Board that the persons referred to are on the waiting list for the community ophthalmic service. The board have been experiencing problems with the delivery of this service in the Cashel area due to the illness of the ophthalmologist and is seeking to make alternative arrangements for patients. I would hope that the board would be in a position to give appointment dates to the persons referred to in the near future.
