Vol. 408 No. 7

Written Answers. - Grant Payments.

Noel Dempsey

Ceist:

80 Mr. Dempsey asked the Minister for Agriculture and Food if he will consider the special beef premium application of a person (details supplied) in County Meath which has been refused.

This person's application for grants under the 1990 special beef premium scheme cannot be approved because it was received after the final closing date for applications.

Michael Creed

Ceist:

81 Mr. Creed asked the Minister for Agriculture and Food when an installation aid grant will be paid to a person (details supplied) in County Cork.

This case cannot be processed further until the applicant meets the educational requirements of the scheme.

Charles Flanagan

Ceist:

82 Mr. Flanagan asked the Minister for Agriculture and Food when cattle grants will be paid to a person (details supplied) in County Laois.

This applicant's payment under the 1990 special beef premium scheme is being processed and will issue shortly.

He did not apply under any other 1990 cattle schemes.

John Fahey

Ceist:

83 Mr. J. Fahey asked the Minister for Agriculture and Food when payment of cattle headage/suckler cow grants will be made to a person (details supplied) in County Waterford.

Payment to this applicant under the 1990 cattle and equines headage scheme has already been made.

His payment under the 1990 suckler cow premium scheme is being processed and will issue shortly.

Theresa Ahearn

Ceist:

86 Mrs. T. Ahearn asked the Minister for Agriculture and Food if he will reconsider a beef premium application made by a person (details supplied) in County Tipperary in view of the fact that the person had informed his Department of the sale of two cattle and the Department's inspector did not inspect the heard at the correct time; and if he will make a statement on the matter.

This person's application for grants under the 1990 special beef premium scheme cannot be approved because he disposed of two of the animals on which he applied for premium before the minimum two months retention period for maintaining these animals had expired and because he did not inform my Department of the disposal of the two animals within ten days of the date of disposal as required under the terms and conditions of the scheme.

Theresa Ahearn

Ceist:

88 Mrs. T. Ahearn asked the Minister for Agriculture and Food when a beef premium payment will issue to a person (details supplied) in County Tipperary; and if he will make a statement on the matter.

Theresa Ahearn

Ceist:

94 Mrs. T. Ahearn asked the Minister for Agriculture and Food if he will review the application of a person (details supplied) in County Tipperary for a special beef premium for 1990 and who is not eligible for the 1991 scheme; and if he will make a statement on the matter.

I propose taking Questions Nos. 88 and 94 together.

These applicants have been deemed ineligible for payment under the 1990 special beef premium scheme as they did not maintain the number of animals on which they applied for premium for two months as required under the terms and conditions of the scheme.
