Ceist:75 Mr. Allen asked the Minister for Justice if he will outline (1) the percentage of burglaries in the Cork city area which are committed on unoccupied houses and (2) the number of these committed between (a) 9 a.m. and 6 p.m. and (b) 6 p.m. and 9 p.m.

The information which is readily available relates to the level of burglaries recorded for the Cork city area in respect of (1) dwellings — including houses, flats etc., and (2) other premises. The relevant figures for 1989 and provisional figures for 1990 are set out in the following tabular statement. The other information sought by the Deputy is not readily available and could be obtained only by the expenditure of a disproportionate amount of Garda time and resources.
