149 Tomás Mac Giolla asked the Minister for Education the up-to-date position regarding the claim submitted through County Donegal Vocational Educational Committee for an allowance of £40 per week for a person (details supplied) in County Donegal.
Funding is provided to County Donegal Vocational Education Committee from the proceeds of the national lottery in respect of a portion of the costs associated with the salaries of the staff involved in the project. Consultations are ongoing between my Department and the Irish Vocational Education Association on the appropriate level of salary.
