Vol. 409 No. 8

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - County Dublin National School.

Seán Ryan

Ceist:

16 Mr. Ryan asked the Minister for Education if her attention has been drawn to the need for four additional classrooms at the Sacred Heart national school, Huntstown, Mulhuddart, Dublin 15; and if she will confirm that these will be sanctioned and erected in time for the commencement of the new school term in September 1991.

Mervyn Taylor

Ceist:

59 Mr. Taylor asked the Minister for Education if she will outline the progress which has been made regarding an application she has received from Huntstown national school for additional accommodation before the start of the new school year; and if she will make a statement on the matter.

I propose taking Questions Nos. 16 and 59 together.

I have approved the provision of four classrooms at Huntstown national school, Dublin 15. Sketch plans have recently been completed for the project and sent to the school authorities to enable them to seek local authority planning permission and by-law approval. The preparation of tender documents is in hand and these will be completed at an early date with the prompt invitation and examination of tenders.
