Ceist:27 Mr. Creed asked the Minister for Education if she intends sanctioning the proposed joint Cork RTC/UCC degree in bio-medical sciences.

I am aware that University College, Cork, have recently advertised what in effect is this degree course. This course has not been approved by the Higher Education Authority. I understand the Authority will be raising this whole matter with the authorities in UCC which will include the considerations which led to the original proposal not being approved. I am arranging to have the matter kept under close review.
