Ceist:90 Mr. Kenny asked the Minister for Education if a school transport pick-up point could be extended for children (details supplied) in County Mayo.

The appropriate centre for transport purposes for the pupils in question is Rossport and they are fully eligible for transport to that centre. However, they have chosen to attend Lacken vocational school which is within the Ballycastle-Lacken catchment area and are being accommodated on transport from the catchment boundary line at Gortleatilla. Under the terms of the scheme pupils attending school in another catchment cannot be picked up inside their own catchment area.
