221 Mr. Aylward asked the Minister for Education if she will arrange immediate sanction for the provision of a radio aid to a child (details supplied) in County Kilkenny whose name was submitted to her Department over a year ago and again recently, and where the child has been listed as a priority case.
Radio aids are issued to hearing impaired children on the recommendation of my Department's inspectorate and as resources permit.
The child in question is listed among a number of priority cases currently being considered by my Department and it is intended that decisions in this matter will be made at the earliest possible date.
