Vol. 410 No. 2

Written Answers. - Certificates of Authorisation.

Eamon Gilmore

Ceist:

64 Mr. Gilmore asked the Minister for Finance when a C2 certificate will be issued to a company (details supplied) in Dublin.

I have been advised by the Revenue Commissioners that an application for a subcontractor's certificate of authorisation was received by the inspector of taxes from the company's agent on 26 November 1990.

The inspector wrote to the agent on 10 January 1991 requesting further information necessary to consider the application.

To date the inspector has received no reply. On receipt of same the matter can be further considered.

Michael Finucane

Ceist:

65 Mr. Finucane asked the Minister for Finance the reason for the delay in issuing a C2 certificate to a person (details supplied) in County Limerick as the delay is causing undue financial burdens on this person.

I have been advised by the Revenue Commissioners that the inspector of taxes, Limerick has no record of receiving an application for a sub-contractor's certificate of authorisation from the taxpayer. The taxpayer should be advised to contact the inspector who will furnish him with an application form and advise him of the conditions governing the issue of a certificate of authorisation.
