Vol. 410 No. 2

Written Answers. - Taxation Matters.

Austin Deasy

Ceist:

67 Mr. Deasy asked the Minister for Finance the reason for the delay in payment of a tax rebate to a person (details supplied) in County Waterford; and when payment will issue.

I have been advised by the Revenue Commissioners that no claim for repayment of income tax has been received by the inspector of taxes from the taxpayer. The taxpayer's former employers have failed to submit a P.45 Part I, despite reminders being sent to their wages' office in Liverpool. A further reminder was sent to the employers on 1 July 1991.

The inspector of taxes will write to the taxpayer for details of her employments in 1990-91 and details of any remittances arising from the period spent in Australia.
