98 Mr. McCartan asked the Minister for Justice the names and addresses of justices of the peace appointed by him for (a) the city and county of Dublin and (b) for all other counties for each of the years between 1987 and 1990 and to date in 1991.
Appointments as justice of the peace are not made in this jurisdiction but it may be that the Deputy has peace commissioners in mind. Over 1,000 appointments as peace commissioners were made over the four-and-a-half year period referred to in the question. It would require the commitment of a disproportionate amount of staff time to extract from departmental records and present in the requested format the names and addresses of all of these individuals.
