Ceist:

110 Mr. Stagg asked the Minister for the Environment if he will outline in relation to the decentralisation of sections of his Department to Ballina, County Mayo (a) the number of surplus staff in the grades of assistant principal, higher executive officer, staff officer and clerical officer retained in his Department and (b) the number of surplus staff in the grades of assistant principal, higher executive officer, staff officer, clerical officer who were redeployed to other Government Departments and the Departments to which they were transferred.

No surplus staff were retained in my Department following the completion of decentralisation arrangements.

The following tabular statement sets out the details of those redeployment to other Departments.
