Austin Deasy

Ceist:

227 Mr. Deasy asked the Minister for Agriculture and Food the reason reactor grants have not been paid to a person (details supplied) in County Waterford; and if he will ensure that payment issues immediately in view of the severe financial hardship being experienced by the applicant.

The reactor grants due to the person named will be paid within the next few weeks.

Ceist:

233 Mrs. Taylor-Quinn asked the Minister for Agriculture and Food if he will issue full payment of a sheep headage grant to a person (details supplied) in County Clare.

I propose taking Questions Nos. 228 and 233 together.

The first instalment of the 1991 ewe premium has been paid in these cases. The grants under the 1991 disadvantaged areas sheep headage scheme will be paid this November when payments commence under that scheme.

This applicant has already been paid full 1990 beef premium scheme grants on all animals presented for inspection under that scheme.
