514 Mr. Allen asked the Minister for Health the number of handicapped adults awaiting day care in the Southern Health Board area.

I propose to take Questions Nos. 509,510, 513 and 514 together.

I have asked each health board to prepare a seven year plan for the development of mental handicap services under the Programme for Economic and Social Progress.

Officials of the Southern Health Board and voluntary agencies in the region have completed a survey of unmet needs as part of their seven year plan. This plan will shortly be presented to the Southern Health Board and to my Department.
