Vol. 411 No. 1

Written Answers. - County Offaly School Extension.

Tom Enright

Ceist:

613 Mr. Enright asked the Minister for Education the present position regarding the provision of an extension to Edenderry Boy's national school at Gilroy Avenue, Edenderry, County Offaly; if she will outline the works she proposes for this school; and when they will be carried out.

I have approved the provision of a permanent extension of two classrooms and a teachers room to Edenderry Boy's national school, County Offaly.

I expect that sketch plans for the project will be completed shortly when they will be sent to the school authorities to enable them to seek local authority planning permission.

I am not in a position to say at this stage when building works will commence.

Ceist:

614 Mr. Enright asked the Minister for Education the present position regarding the provision of an extension to Ballinagar national school, Tullamore, County Offaly; and when work will commence on the extension.

Tenders for the proposed extension to Ballinagar national school, Tullamore, County Offaly, are at present being examined and this process will be completed at the earliest possible date. The question of the placing of the contract will then arise for consideration and my Department will communicate with the school authorities at that point.

I am not in a position to say at this stage when building works will commence.
