133 Mr. Rabbitte asked the Minister for Education whether, under section 69 (1) of the Programme for Economic and Social Progress, she will designate the Tallaght RTC and local second level schools for the type of linkage referred to in the programme.

I wish to assure the Deputy that linkages will be established between the regional technical college, Tallaght, and local second level schools.

The detailed arrangements in respect of the measures are being worked out in co-operation with the universities and VEC third level colleges with whom preliminary discussions have been held. Discussions have been held with second level schools in various areas, including Tallaght.
