Ceist:230 Mr. Deenihan asked the Minister for Education if she will consider having a leaving home module included on the secondary school curriculum for non-exam purposes.

One of the stated aims and purposes of the leaving certificate programme is to prepare pupils for immediate entry into open society.
At present the NCCA are undertaking an extensive review of the senior cycle and I will ask the council to take note of the Deputy's interest in this matter.
