43 Mr. Byrne asked the Minister for Education if she will provide figures for grants returned to the Exchequer on the sale of national schools as promised in her reply to Parliamentary Question No. 219 of 12 February, 1991; and if she will make a statement on the matter.

The information requested by the Deputy is being compiled at present in my Department and it will be furnished to him at an early date. It has been necessary to consult with the Commissioners of Public Works who may be entitled to refunds in the case of certain national schools.
