44 Mr. Flanagan asked the Minister for the Marine whether he has satisfied himself that there are adequate lo-lo port facilities available on the central corridor for shipping services operating between the Republic of Ireland and the United Kingdom.
The lo-lo facilities on the central corridor from this country, are provided by Dublin Port. My Department are promoting further development of Dublin port's lo-lo facilities through the Operational Programme on Peripherality 1989-93. Should the port wish to develop any additional lo-lo facilities, these will be considered for funding under the operational programme, subject to availability of funds.
