Vol. 412 No. 6

Written Answers. - Blackrock (County Dublin) Garda Station.

Eamon Gilmore

Ceist:

125 Mr. Gilmore asked the Minister for Justice if he will give details of (1) any progress that has been made to refurbish the Garda station at Blackrock, County Dublin; and (2) the provision that is being made to provide car parking at the station.

Plans are being prepared by the Office of Public Works to build a major extension to the Garda station at Blackrock and completely renovate the existing building. Given the restricted nature of the site, the extension will, inevitably, reduce the space available for parking in the station yard. However, following a request from the local station party, the Office of Public Works have been asked to examine the feasibility of providing underground car parking on site.
