169 Miss Coughlan asked the Minister for Education if he will outline the progress which has been made in obtaining a site for the provision of a new post-primary centre in Ballyshannon, County Donegal; and when it is anticipated that phase 1 of planning will commence.
My Department have identified a possible site in Ballyshannon for the proposed new community school and the advice of the Valuation Office has been sought. On receipt of this advice negotiations will be entered into with the owners of the site.
At this stage it is not possible to say when architectural planning will commence.
