71 Mr. Deasy asked the Minister for Agriculture and Food if he will devise a new scheme to promote the planting of new apple orchards and other fruit trees by bringing in a scheme which will grant aid such projects; and if he will make a statement on the matter.
As part of the measures for reorganising Community production of apples and pears all national aid intended to encourage directly or indirectly the planting or enlargement of apples and pears all National aid EC Regulations.
There are no proposals to make grants available for the planting of other fruit trees.
