Ceist:126 Miss Coughlan asked the Minister for the Environment whether there are proposals to provide a new water scheme for Ballyshannon, County Donegal given the inadequate and unsuitable supply to the town at present.

Contract documents for the Ballyshannon water supply improvement scheme are with my Department. This proposal will be considered further upon receipt from Donegal County Council of a report which has been requested on the performance of a related pilot water treatment plant.
