168 Mr. Allen asked the Minister for Health the number of patients awaiting admission to the Southern Health Board hospitals.
The data provided below must be seen in the context of total acute in-patient activity; in 1990, total in-patient admission for the acute hospitals listed below were 59,670.
Data on acute hospitals are collected each month while district hospitals supply a yearly return. Table 1 refers to acute hospitals in the Southern Health Board and gives the numbers awaiting admission for each acute hospital as at 30 September 1991.
