Ceist:51 Mr. McGahon asked the Minister for Justice if his attention has been drawn to the recent threats made by unionist paramilitaries to plant bombs in this State; and if he will make a statement on the matter.

I am aware of reported threats by Loyalist paramilitaries to carry out bombing attacks in the State. The Garda authorities have informed me that such threats are assessed on a continuous basis and appropriate measures are taken as necessary.
