65 Mr. Spring asked the Minister for Finance if he will outline (1) the total number of persons in each Civil Service grade and (2) the number and percentage of women in each grade.
The total number of persons employed in the non-industrial Civil Service on 1 October 1991 was 27,828 of whom 43 per cent were women.

66 Mr. Bell asked the Minister for Finance if he will outline the total number of public servants who were redeployed in the Civil Service for each of the years from 1987 to 1990.
The number of public servants including civil servants redeployed in the various areas of the Civil Service during the years in question was as follows: 1987, 238; 1988, 337; 1989, 152; and 1990, 38.
These figures do not include staff redeployed from Dublin and other centres to provincial locations under the programme of decentralisation or in accordance with normal inter-departmental transfer arrangements.
67 Mr. Bell asked the Minister for Finance if he will outline the number of civil servants in each grade who took early retirement in (1) 1987, (2) 1988, (3) 1989, (4) 1990 and (5) 1991.
