Ceist:140 Mr. Cotter asked the Minister for the Environment the reason an application for a recycling grant by a person (details supplied) in County Monaghan was refused; and if he will make a statement on the matter.

Because of the limited funds available under my Department's recycling grants scheme, 1991, only a small number of the proposals received could be assisted this year. It will of course be open to the applicant in this case to renew the application if funds are made available for a further grants scheme in 1992.
