134 Mr. Cotter asked the Minister for Agriculture and Food when payment of a farm improvement grant will be made to a person (details supplied) in County Monaghan; and if he will make a statement on the matter.

135 Mr. Cotter asked the Minister for Agriculture and Food the reason a person (details supplied) in County Monaghan was not paid a hardship grant when he lost 16 cows and one weanling in consecutive tests in April and July 1991; and if he will make a statement on the matter.

I am informed by the director of ERAD that the income supplement is paid in cases where disease breakdown results in the removal of more than 10 per cent of animals in a herd in which there are 100 animals or fewer on the date of restriction. I am informed that the person named had in excess of 100 animals on the date of restriction and he is, therefore, not eligible for the income supplement.

P. J. Sheehan

Ceist:

142 Mr. Sheehan asked the Minister for Agriculture and Food when a person (details supplied) in County Cork will receive payment of her cattle headage suckler cow and beef premium grants for 1991.

She did not apply under the 1991 special beef premium scheme.

Ceist:

146 Mr. Finucane asked the Minister for Agriculture and Food if he will consider extending the suckler cow premium to the whole country.

The EC suckler cow premium schemes for non-suppliers of milk and for small scale milk suppliers both already apply throughout the entire country.
