28 Mr. Quinn asked the Minister for the Marine if he has any plans to amend, extend or introduce proposals for land reclamations in the Dublin Bay area; if he has received requests from the Dublin Port and Docks Board or the local authorities for any developments or changes; and if he will make a statement on the matter.
I am not at present considering any plans for the reclamation of land in the Dublin Bay area.
The Dublin Port and Docks Board have a proposal with my Department for the reclamation of 21 hectares east of the former Sealink container terminal. The port authorities have, however, asked me to defer making any decision on their application until after the board's officials have completed discussions with interest groups concerned at the proposed development.
