Vol. 414 No. 5

Written Answers. - County Clare Courthouse Renovation.

Donal Carey

Ceist:

78 Mr. Carey asked the Minister for Justice the up-to-date position regarding the allocation of funds for the renovation of the Tulla Courthouse in County Clare where the roof of this fine stone building, which is 150 years old and located in a prime position of this rural village, is in a very bad state of repair.

The building in question is one of a number of courthouses throughout the country which require renovation. Because of the limited availability of financial resources, priorities have to be established between the different courthouses requiring attention. I cannot indicate at this stage what priority can be given to the courthouse in Tulla. I will continue to keep the matter under review.
