118 Mr. Carey asked the Minister for the Environment if he will outline (1) if there are any clean technology projects being undertaken in Ireland at present and (2) the successful groups which have been promoted with EC aid to date.
The environment action programme provides for promotion and assistance of clean industrial technologies by the IDA and EOLAS, from whom further information regarding EC assistance may be obtained. While my Department's better environment awards for industry, 1992 will also recognise achievements by industry in this area, comprehensive information on individual projects is not available in my Department.
