164 Mr. Creed asked the Minister for Agriculture and Food when a person (details supplied) in County Cork made his first written request to his Department seeking a milk quota subsequent to the introduction of the quota regime in the early eighties.
A general inquiry relating to milk quota was received in my Department on behalf of the above named producer in January 1986. The person named had no entitlement to a milk quota under the EC regulations at that time. The regulations were however subsequently amended following a European Court judgment and an official application for a Mulder milk quota was received from him in May 1989. The person named was then allocated a provisional quota and was subsequently allocated a definitive milk quota as a result of this application.
