Ceist:

206 Mr. Deasy asked the Minister for Agriculture and Food the reason for the delay in payment of a headage grant and a sheep premium to a person (details supplied) in County Waterford; and when payment will issue.

Payments due to this applicant under the 1991 cattle and equines headage and sheep headage schemes are being processed and will issue shortly.

He has been paid the first and second instalment under the 1991 ewe premium scheme already. Payment of the third and final instalment will issue to him as soon as the exact amount of the total 1991 ewe premium is fixed by the EC in March-April 1992. There is no particular delay in making the cattle headage payment. Delay in payment of his sheep headage grant arose due to a clerical error.
