Ceist:298 Mr. J. Higgins asked the Minister for the Environment if a grant will be made available to widen, improve and make safer the national secondary road between the town of Balla in County Mayo and Balla Livestock Mart.
Written Answers. - County Mayo Road Improvement.
My Department has received proposals from Mayo County Council in respect of the improvement of the section of the national secondary route N60 from Balla town to Manulla cross, a distance of 4.4 kilometres. The proposals are at present under discussion at engineering level and have not, as yet, been finalised or approved. Under the circumstances, the question of a grant in the current year does not arise.
