367 Mr. Allen asked the Minister for Health if she will establish a definite time scale for the building of the new Tallaght Hospital in Dublin 24 so that hospitals whose services are to be transferred there can plan their services in the interim.
I have already indicated the Government's commitment to the Tallaght hospital project.
I am sure the Deputy will be aware that I recently met with the Tallaght Hospital Board and the various local interest groups for discussion regarding the project.
I am also actively exploring all possible funding options and in this context I have recently asked the Dublin Hospital Initiative Group to examine the hospital needs of the area, to make recommendations on possible methods of funding and to report back to me within six months.
