396 Mr. J. Higgins asked the Minister for Education if he proposes to restore the former transport arrangements to pupils from the Derreen area of Killasser, County Mayo who are attending the post-primary centre at Banada, County Sligo.
The former arrangements referred to involved the use by post-primary pupils of a service established to provide transport to a special school. With the cessation of this special service it was necessary to provide alternative arrangements for the post-primary pupils in question. It is considered that the alternative arrangements made are reasonable in the context of the general operation of the scheme.
