Ceist:41 Mr. Quinn asked the Minister for Energy if he will give an up-to-date report on the extent to which natural gas is available to households throughout the suburbs of Dublin; and if he will make a statement on the matter.
Written Answers. - Availability of Natural Gas.
I am advised by Bord Gáis Éireann that a supply of natural gas is now available to 60 per cent of the households in the Dublin area.
Bord Gáis are currently involved in a five year programme to connect non-gas estates in the greater Dublin area. This will significantly increase the numbers of houses to which a supply will be available in the future.
