Theresa Ahearn

Ceist:

38 Mrs. T. Ahearn asked the Minister for the Environment if he intends to increase the allocation of funds for the housing aid for the elderly scheme operated by the health boards; if he will outline the allocation of funds for this scheme to all health boards in (1) 1989, (2) 1990 and (3) 1991; and if he will make a statement on the matter.

Written Answers. - Local Authority Housing Budget.

Donal Carey

Ceist:

133 Mr. Carey asked the Minister for the Environment if he will give details of the way in which the £2 million provided in the 1992 Estimates under the heading of housing for the elderly will be spent; and if he will further outline the amount which was spent in 1991 per local authority area.

I propose to take Questions Nos. 38 and 133 together.

There are no proposals to increase, in 1992, the funding for the scheme of special housing aid for the elderly which is administered by the health boards. The allocations to each health board for 1992 will be notified to them as soon as possible. The allocations to each board for 1989, 1990, and 1991 were as follows:
