Adjournment Debate Matters.

I wish to advise the House of the following matters in respect of which notice has been given to me under Standing Order 20 (3) (a) and the name of the Member in each case: Deputy Moynihan, the serious problem for both patients and medical-consultant staff in Tralee Regional Hospital arising from the failure of the Southern Health Board to provide essential equipment and staff; Deputy J. Higgins, the need for the Minister for Finance to authorise the Office of Public Works to deepen a channel for a river at Listernane, Killasser, Swinford which is about to be piped and which is currently responsible for the flooding of 150 acres of arable land; Deputy Deenihan, the serious concern expressed by Irish immigrant agencies in the United States because of the drastic decrease in funding from immigrant services; Deputy Taylor, the raid by armed officers of the special branch on the community hall of Killinarden Community Centre on 14 January 1992; Deputy Spring, the inadequate level of funding to Tralee General Hospital; Deputy Garland, the failure of the Government to respond to the wishes of Wicklow County Council in their opposition to the proposed interpretative centre at Luggala County Wicklow; Deputy Sheehan, the serious degree of anxiety that exists with the residents and business people of Skibbereen and its hinterland over the proposed one way traffic regulations due to be implemented on 1 March; Deputy McCartan, the circumstances of the three expulsions of students at Greendale Community School in June 1991 and the need for the Minister for Education to intervene and resolve the situation; Deputy Enright, the urgent necessity for an extension to Crinkle national school, Birr, County Offaly where children are attending for their education in sub-standard premises and when the Department will be appointing a contractor for work to the extension; and Deputy Allen, the nationwide problem of wandering horses especially in view of the recent fatal road accident at Carrigrohane, County Cork involving a wandering itinerant's horse.

I have selected for discussion the matters raised by Deputies J. Higgins, Allen and Spring.
