Ceist:86 Mr. Hogan asked the Minister for Finance the action he will take to protect the interests of shareholders in the event of the privatisation of any State company in the future, and if he will make a statement on the matter.

I assume the Deputy is referring to any part disposal of shares by way of a public flotation on the Stock Exchange. In such cases I am satisfied that the interests of investors are protected by the rules and regulations of the Stock Exchange which regulate dealings in shares quoted on that exchange.
I do not consider that any particular action on my part is required.
