Ceist:152 Dr. Lee asked the Minister for Justice if he will outline the average detection rate of house break-ins for the Dublin and the country areas respectively.
I propose to take Questions Nos. 150 and 152 together.
I am informed by the Garda authorities that figures in relation to the number of burglaries recorded at dwellings in 1991 are not yet available.
The detection rate for burglaries at dwellings recorded in 1990 in the Dublin Metropolitan Area was 24.6 per cent. The corresponding detection rate for the rest of the country was 21.4 per cent.
