Ceist:155 Mrs. T. Ahearn asked the Minister for Justice if he will investigate the ownership of a property (details supplied) in County Tipperary; and if he will make a statement on the matter.
Written Answers. - Ownership of Property.
The property concerned, a former RIC barracks, was never occupied by the Garda Síochána for use as a Garda station. Inquiries with the Office of Public Works reveal that there is no record of it being in State ownership. I am also advised that it is not registered in the Land Registry. If the Deputy's inquirers wish to pursue the question of the ownership of this property further, I would suggest that they contact the Registry of Deeds, Henrietta Street, Dublin 1, with a view to carrying out a search for any deed that might exist in relation to it.
